Default Good RTAS Ultrabeat/Redrum alternative ?

Hi all, i've got some pop stuff coming up that will require a fair bit of drum programming.

Am looking for a good native drum machine for Pro Tools that will give me similar functionality to Ultrabeat in Logic.

I've already got Reason 5...do love Re-drum, but getting fed up with the re-wire workflow.

Any recommendations from you pop/hiphop/r'n'b gurus ?

x

Nothing else really in the same league in my opinion.... And that's coming from using an MPC60 and a 3000.

RTAS implementation is great (as with all NI products now)

Very highly recommended.

+ 1 for Maschine-

a) very useful and well built controller

b) superb factory drum library (with a few NI and third-party expansions) of pop, R&B and hip hop sounds and patterns... including many very useful non-drum sounds

c) Sampling capability with loop slicing and import/export of many different audio filetypes (including REX)

d) very unique FX

e) integrated RTAS plug-in with multi-channel support

f) pattern and scene based composition.

You won't be sorry- for what you get the price is right too:

If you're not interested in the extra features of Maschine and are looking for a lower cost option of just good sounds, I recommend NI Battery 3.
