I've been using it for almost a year now, and it works great with 001. The reason I purchased it over other Midi patchbays is because of the serial port connection...I don't use the USB or the SMPTE connections. I have 4 devices attached at this time...2 synths, drum module and MotorMix...with no noticable latency. It comes with software to manipulate the I/O as desired, and can be controlled via the front panel. It can be used as a standalone patchbay as well. The only desire I would like to see is to be able to change the names of the I/O within Pro Tools to read what is actually attached instead of just noting "MidiMan MidiSport In 1" etc..

same story here.. using it serial with usb disabled for more irq's.... never had any problem with it bar forgetting to power it on and having to restart PT to prevent MIDI glitches...

Hmm I think you can relabel i/o in PTLE. Might be just audio i/o though.. memory is sketchy....

Hi,

I've been using it for over 18 months, but I can only get it to work over USB for some reason. I'd like to run it over serial because I encountered loads of Pro Tools LE midi errors with USB and PTLE 5.1.1, so I had to uninstall and reinstall 5.1, where I encounter no problems. I'm just a bit concerned that future upgrades of PTLE may cause the same problem.

Anyone else encounter this. I think the errors were 6042 or 6024. I used the drivers from the CD that came with.

Cheers,

Simon.
