Mbox2 Mini Audio Drop Out

Hi there,
I got my Mbox2 Mini just a few days ago for my Macbook Pro to have a mobile solution as well. I also have a 002 rack for my descktop G5 / PC. The Mac laptop is mid 2007 model (Core 2 Duo, 2.2 Ghz, 2GB RAM, running on Leopard). Upon installation of the Core Audio driver, I could use it with Logic Pro but experienced once in a while sound drops (disconnects) for a fraction of a second (probably around 0.3 second or so) and sound comes back after. It occurs every minute or two, and sometimes a few in a row. I changed the buffer size, etc but it happened again.

I loaded the Mbox2 drivers in my Windows XP ProTools 7.4 setup on my Leopard bootcamp which was previously working OK with my 002 rack. I thought I eliminate the Leopard incompatibility possibility this way, but I experienced exactly the same audio drop, so I found it is to do with the hardware not the operating system or application. It is not appearing in direct monitoring so it's not a cable thing. I haven't tried it with my desktops yet but I thought I ask the question in case anyone has experienced the same thing, and knows a solution for it.
