My Mac (Quad Core Intel Xeon 4 Gig 2.28) crashes after I import a quicktime movie to a Pro Tools 8 Session. The quicktime is 633 MB. The system begins to process it, but then the screen goes grey and I have to shut down.
Is the quicktime file too big? Should I make it smaller using something like handbrake? |

Does the movie open in Quicktime itself?
What format is the movie in? Which version of Quicktime and Pro Tools are you using? |
