Window Configurations in PT 8

Does anyone use window configurations at all?

I used it for the first time today - but soon learned that a 'new configuration' is a project preset only and not a globally available preset. I would think that the latter would be of more use, as i'd mostly use a window configuration preset to locate and stretch the mix and edit windows to my two monitor screens, and locate the video window to the correct screen when needed.

I use configurations regularly, it is a good feature. Since I usually start from a session template I've previously made, configurations are already present along with most of the other things I regularly use. In a sense, this makes them "global". Cannot recall now if you can import another session's configuration data. Have you looked into that?

si, you can import them easily...

Ah, I never thought of putting it into my templates! I start most of my work from a template too. Great idea.

I import window configs from my 'template' all the time. You can do it from 'import session data'.
