Missing\"Other\" Button in Hardware Menu/5.0

I am using ProtoolsIII Hardware(882/20) and 5.0. On two occasions so far the "other" button which opens up the +4 and -10 interface options has dissapeared from the Hardware dialog box. To make matters worse the system had switched to -10 making it unusable. The only solution has been to reinstall Protools, which magically restores this vital function. The 882/20 has no hard-switch for level.
The apparant culprit both times has been opening a ver4.3 session. Anyone else had this bug?
