Trouble Using Sample Cell with Studio Vision/Galaxy/OMS
Can anyone tell me how to get Sample Cell patch names to appear in Studio Vision Pro with Galaxy and OMS. I'm running a Sample Cell II card (non TDM)in a Power Mac 7100/66mhz. All I get for Sample Cell patch names is something that looks like this: 0/0/0

Re: Trouble Using Sample Cell with Studio Vision/Galaxy/OMS
Unfortunately there's not an easy way to do this - SampleCell doesn't respond to program changes (it doesn't have the concept of patch numbers, nor does it hold patches in memory that aren't being used, like many synths do). Studio Vision stores the patch numbers (and their corresponding name, which for synths doesn't change when you turn them off) for a particular track so that when you reload the sequence, it can send the synth a program change to set it back to that patch. This model doesn't work for SampleCell (or most samplers) because the user has to load all the sounds that are memory.
