Go for it man!

Couple of things, though:

1. Read the sticky(s) on top of this forum that are related to PT 7.1.1 and the General Troubleshooting (it has system optimization tips)

2. Plug your MBox2 to the left hand USB port on your MacBook Pro (!)

3. Use an external (firewire) drive for all audio files

..and...umm...Have fun!

Great Choice. I bought the same gear a few months ago. Just make sure you are using Pro Tools 7.1.1 or higher because any version prior to that is not compatible with Macbook Pro due to that fact that they are equipped with the new Intel-based duo core processors. It was the biggest headache of my life. And if you are planning to use the Pro Tools version 7.1 that comes with the M-box 2 be ready to have to upgrade to 7.1.1 before you are able to launch Pro Tools in your Macbook Pro. You can download the upgrade right off of the digidesign web-site for free. All you need is the your authorization number from the inside of your M-box 2 Instruction manual. I got D*cked around but after that it was smooth sailing. Just sending a word of warning but its defintely worth it for a quality home recording set-up. Good Luck.
