Default USB to Ethernet Adapter

I've run out of ethernet ports on a Mac Pro Tower, and need to have another port with static IP for a TC600- integrator plug.

Having a hard time finding a usb to ethernet adapter that will work with 10.8.5 OS. Is there one that someone could recommend?

Thanks,
JJ

Anker USB/Ethernet works.

I am using a USB 3.0 one from Moshi that also has a USB pass through.

Why don´t you buy a small ethernet switch instead? Much more practical in my opinion. Connect one of your MAC ethernet ports and all the rest of the gear to the switcher and that´s it. Just make sure that it supports 1 Gb in case you need it for certain tasks.

Found an adapter that worked with 10.8.5, but not very well. Must be limited speed of usb port. The TC6000 integrator worked on an internal
port without a problem.
Now thinking of plan B, which is to resurrect a pcie magma expansion chassis. I could stick 2-hdx cards and a blackmagic card in it freeing up
slots for another ethernet card and future satellite video.

Switch seems like a good idea! One port DHCP, one static, switch as needed?
