Are there any polyphony limitations using midi in Protools 9?

You might want to clarify your question, polyphony has more to do with the device that the MIDI is triggering...

For example, Sampletank 2 has a 256 overall polyphony limit. EWQL PLAY has a limit per instrument. This has nothing to do with PT.

OTOH in PT, with some VI's, you may not be able to get near the VI polyphony limit because of poor RTAS performance or the RAM limit. These dropouts and errors should not be confused with dropouts resulting from polyphony limits.
