problem after 8.05 update

hi folks this is my first post, hope its in the right place.
i'm using a mini mbox with pro tools 8.05 le on windows 7.
i've just updated to 8.05 and got a problem using xpand synth:
whereas before i had individual control of midi track sliders
they are now behaving as a group and i have to use the start key
to control them individually. on one track the slider doesn't work - i have to use
mute to turn down volume - no mix groups have been created btw.
i'm not impressed at all - never seen this in any other daw.
having serious reservations about using this software long term - every time
i feel like i'm making progress something knocks me back.
help!!!!

sorry, this is a terrible newbie error:
somehow "All" got selected in the groups menu
prob solved.
