Default Programming drum patterns on Battery 4

Hi, I have a simple question. Couldn't find anywhere how to programm drum patterns in Battery 4. Do you need to programm those directly in PT channel midi editor or is it possible to programm patterns in Battery alone.

Thanks

Dagg

Battery is just a one-shot drum sampler, you cant do patterns.
You have to do it as performance or in your midi editor.

Protools is probably the worst midi editor for Battery IMO.
Ableton is more suited to it. Also its not completely compatible with Protools...once you start editing the samples you may get an annoying warning every few minutes reminding you you've edited the sample. Ableton doesn't do that.

I think Sugar Bytes Thesys can be used as a supplemental sequencer inside PT, to trigger Battery. DUC user DonaldM would probably know, this is his area of expertise.
