Default Anything in Waves for removing vocals pre-recorded

I am auditioning for a band and want to practice to the pre recorded demos with the old singer. Is there anything in the Waves Platinum bundle that will at least reduce the volume of the vocals/center channel???

...or any other suggestions...

RH

The only thing i can think of is a long shot and depends on how much "stereo" is used in the track.

Setup the stereo mix across two mono channels and put any plugin with a phase inverse switch on it over both channels, inverse the phase on one channel and anything coming equally from both legs will be almost completely removed (but if any drums, bass or anything else for that matter is mono coming straight out the centre it will go too, told you it was a long shot )

...and make sure that your 2 mono tracks are panned center. You can use the Trim plugin to invert the phase on one side.
