Pro Tools 11 suddenly stopped working with USB Yamaha digital piano

This is a bit random. I am having a bit of a problem which I have been trying to fix for the past days and I cannot figure out why and how this problem persists to baffle me.

So I have just setup the Yamaha digital piano with pro tools 11 which was working fine a while ago but for some reason usb midi will no longer work. The computer and Pro tools recognize the digital piano being plugged in as you can select it in both control panel and in the Pro tools interface, but when pressing the keys with a virtual instrument setup and live with all the same settings I was using when everything worked, I have no signal coming through.

The only thing I can really think is the problem is that I sold a Alesis Q49 and along with it the USB cable that came with the Yamaha P-45.
I had bought a longer USB 2.0 cable to replace this one thinking all would be fine. Can the difference in USB cable make any difference?

Let me guess - you turned off power management in Windows right? For future reference when you self-solve a problem please let us in on how you did it as that will add to the knowledge base here and could help other swith the same problem.

BTW - your screenshot shows you're on PT10.
