Default Syncing Pro Tools to digital 4 track

In a desperate attempt to try and get a few more tracks to record drums with, I am trying to slave my Yamaha MD4S to Pro Tools using MMC. So far, no luck. I have enable MMC transmission to the appropriate port and device ID in PT and have the four track in receive mode. I can't work out whether PT is not talking or the four track is not listening. Is there any way that I'm not thinking of to double check that Pro Tools is seding the MMC? Thanks in advance.
