Default Uninterrupted Power Supplies

Hey guys,

I recently upgraded/built a new computer and I just realized the UPS from APC that I have probably isn't enough. It is only fit to stand in for 350W. My current set up has a 600w PSU in it powering an Intel i5 running dual lcds, one 23inch, one 19inch. Question is, would the below UPS be able to handle my current load? It is rated at 780w, is there anything else I am missing? From my end, it looks like it would do the trick. Also, anything else you guys might recommend other than APC, there all Ive ever used, I am open to suggestion. Thanks.

I've always been happy with APC.
No way to tell without measuring, but your computer is probably drawing a lot less than 600W, the high power reqirements are mostly for people using high end and dual graphics.

My system is all running from an APC 800VA(now replaced with the 900VA) and its probably the best $129 I ever spent. It runs everything EXCEPT the speakers. If I had it to do over, I would go for the 1000 model($169) just for some extra run time. In any case, I am never far from my PT system while its running, so I have never actually timed it, but it has allowed me to finish a bounce, save and close everything down in a leisurely fashion(and it saved my butt in front of a paying client). The batteries will need replacing about every 2 years(ebay has been cheaper than direct). You will never regret having one, or having a bigger one. Can't say the same for having none, or one that is too small

They are well worth it and will filter your power as well, you will get more run time will the bigger one albee listed.
You won't want to install the software with PT

I´d like to UPS everything... but yes, interfaces at least. Anything a bit more expensive or important. External drives of course. And you may want your video monitor UPS:ed too so you have time to log off...

I live in the woods and the power is very bad, half a second cuts, low voltage etc etc. UPS gives a longer life to everything, especially digital.

I do have my pc and monitor connected to a ups and it has saved my ass a few times, I just never conected my 003r to it cause I thought it didn´t have enough power.
Its 800va, I guess it could handle it.
