File Sharing between S6 and DAW

Hello all!

I was wondering if this was at all possible. I'd like to be able to drag and drop files from my Mac to the MTM and vice versa.

This would make updates faster. Also it would make saving soft keys etc. easier. As well as being able to distribute appsets to other desks.

Surely it must be possible. The two are directly connected to each other.

Absolutely. Under Admin go to the Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center and change advanced sharing settings. Turn on file and printer sharing and network discovery.

Thanks Jeff. I had previously tried this but had no luck.

I can't see the S6 from the Mac and I can't see the Mac from the S6.

Are they on the same subnet? Being supplied IP addresses in the same range?

They are directly connected to each other. S6 Port 1 to Mac Ethernet 1.

Both are getting their IP addresses from the S6.

The Mac is connected to our Network (for Nexis, MTRX) on Ethernet 2.

Yes folder shared.

I just realised what I was doing wrong. I was trying to browse for the S6 on the local network via the network finder window, instead of connecting to its IP address and mounting the shared folder. Just plain silly of me!
