Default Following Plugs Failed 64 Bit Blah Blah

Hey guys,

Just installed latest version of AutoTune Pro and now get this message...and this isn't the first time. I see this with a bunch of new ML Sound plugs and sometimes others. What is this message? Why does it happen and how can we fix it? We're on a 2018 Mac Mini 6 core with Catalina and EVERYTHING IS 64 bit, so this shouldn't be happening.

Anyone know what to do?

Thanks!
Sig

I got that message, out of the blue, with the Lexicon FX plugins. I'm not sure why they worked one day and the next day they were flagged as incompatible. Nothing changed. As many know, this is a growing problem with Lexicon plugins in particular, and they're not doing anything to fix it (their plugins are over 6 years old, without updates). It sounds like PT might be at least partially involved if this is occurring with others as well.

Could there be updates to those plugins that you're not yet using?

The Lexicon stuff for SURE doesn't work on Catalina anymore - don't even think they work on Mojave properly any longer. Lexicon has acknowledged this.

But this should work - the version before it worked fine. And ML Sound can't figure out why their plugs randomly do it as well, it's so irritating...

Check compatibility with Antares. Was your download the latest, directly from Antares? Sometimes(when I see this message) a restart of the system helps(but not always)

Yes, direct from Antares...and 50 restarts haha.

I'm loath to redo the prefs/plugins in my system as it takes forever, and I have to do it in chunks because AVID still can't handle the amount of plugins normal people have these days...but in my experience this has not fixed this 64 bit issue...

Here's the fix, at least for AutoTune...

https://antarestech.force.com/s/arti...Am27TrnDbnwEQM

Uninstall and reinstall every time a new version is released...couldn't their installer just do that to avoid problems like this?

Whatever, we back.

Thanks!

The reverbs continue to operate as expected with Catalina -- the FX, however, seem to be a different story. The most current installers won't even run -- they give an error that suggests deleting the installation file, which seemed hilariously aggressive. 'Not only do I refuse to even run this file, I want you to pretend it never existed.'

Does that fix the issue with ML Labs, too?

I have a couple of their plugins but (thankfully) haven't seen this issue yet.
