protools authorization problem on new mac

After running disk installer and restarting protools, I was not asked for my authorization code but was notified of unknown error # 5000. How can I get to the place to type in my authorization code?

Sounds like you got yourself a new Mac.. With MAC OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

The short and quick...
Pro Tools is not yet supported/fully compatible with Snow Leopard.. That's why your seeing these error messages..

There is a pre-release update.

i have the same -5000 error message while trying to launch pt8LE on a brand new iMac. it has something to do with the AIR plugins. i've tried re-installing, as well as repairing disk permissions. no dice. any ideas? help!

Which version of Pro Tools do you have installed? Which OS version are you running? How do you know it has something to do with AIR plug-ins? Do you have any 3rd party plug-ins installed?

This is a permissions error - a file or folder Pro Tools is trying to access is set to read only when it should be read/write. We'll have to identify which file it is, but I need to know the above info first.

I am trying to upgrade the 8.0 that came with the mbox 2 but all I get is not authorized error or not a valid 8.0 intall...can't upgrade with out validation but I'm registered??

Hello Everyone,
I have the same Unknown #5000 Error, authorization problem on my new Mac Book OS X, version 10.6.2. A window should open so I can enter the Authorization code, however, I get Unknown#5000 error with my new Pro Tools LE, Mbox 2 version 8.0. Both the Mac Book and Mbox 2 are brand new. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
