Saving Copy In - A Bit Confusing

I need to do a bit of re-organizing on my system's session drive. To do that I want to move several sessions that are scattered around in different folders all into one folder. So, I've been using the "Saving Copy In" option to do that. I open the session in whatever folder its in now, then use the SCI option to save the session in the new folder I created for these sessions.

My question is, after I do this, can I delete the session out of the old folder, or am I going to lose data the session still needs?

I'd like to get my session drive cleaned up, but I'm a bit shy about deleting anything because too many times in the past I've had the "missing file" window pop up and for whatever reason the session was unable to find the missing files to re-link.

If there's a better way to do this, I'm all ears. Thanks

If you include all media when you save the copy, you can safely delete the original session and media files. You can test by opening the new session copy and confirming that all media paths are correct to the new location.

As a safety net, rename the original folders(I add "xxx" or "old"(without the quotes) to the front of the session folder), then open your new copy version. If its looking for anything from the original, you'll get a missing files message(because of the changed name). If all opens, then you are SURE you're safe to delete(but if it were me, I would probably just move the old session folders to any external drive as another backup version. Yes, I've been stung too many times.....)
