Default Bug? TrackInput with stereo plugin insert

I've got Altiverb (mono/stereo) on an insert on a mono audio track.

If I playback with the TrackInput button engaged, the recorded audio on the track is still audible on the right side. It should not be audible whatsoever.

(This also occurs with Avid's Space and any mono/stereo plugin )

I've trashed prefs. No change.

Looks like a bug to me. Can anyone verify this?
