Also having tragic problems with MIDI in 2024.3.
I'm building a very large session as a backing track, with hundreds of tracks. I record in new layers of backing tracks, which go into folders per song. Usually there is no latency, and notes record where I play them. Since 2024.3, there's latency if I record through the folder. If I bypass the folder, set output to direct output, the sound is correct when I play in, but on playback the notes are way way off. Also have problems as others mentioned with loopable instruments, for instance NI Cuba , and using the loops in that. Not a chance. Have to bounce to audio and repair. Unfortunately I let my support plan lapse so won't be trying 2024.3.1. I thought it was just me and my large session, but yeah.

weezul is correct though. I'm also having issues with "loopable instruments"...
With Arturia CMI for example, which plays sequences that are synced to the DAW clock, if I use clip looping for a simple whole note that should play the full sequence, only the first loop works. This is a big problem as well! It seems like the only workaround for MIDI printing incorrectly is turning off delay compensation while recording MIDI which is not really a workaround...

Hi Strawb, I've updated the support case. Have you already tried adjusting your buffersize and still get the same latency?

i've rolled back to 2023.12.1 so i cannot do any testing - thats for the techs at avid to fix

I decided to create a separate case for the Loopable issue - case 04803090. I also made note on each case we have open for the Midi latency so the techs can connect the dots. The L2 peeps have also been tagged so we can get their thoughts as we haven't been able to reproduce it and so many of you have rolled back so you can't try it. Marianna
