Default Waves Platinum query

I am considering getting Waves Platinum. But it occured to me that it seems to have many "doubles": 2 DeEssers, 2 Ultramaximizers, 2 Multiband compressors, 2 Reverbs, 3 Equalizers. I' realize of course they are all somewhat different. To those who have this bundle: do you use all that stuff regularly, or e.g. do you never use L1 but rather always L2?

Cheers, Bob.

A lot of the latter in my case. For example, I'd never use the L1 over the L2, or the C4 over the Linear Phase Multiband. However the Ren eq of course has completely different uses as compared to the mastering stuff.

But yea, you'd probably end up with several things you wouldn't tend to use, but it's still the cheapest way to get all their best stuff...and believe me, it's some seriously awesome stuff.

You can´t use a L2 on a mono track cause just L1 is mono.
All the phase linear stuff has too much latency to use it in a mix track, it´s just usefull in the master fader therefore you have to use the other comp and Eq which you all get in the bundle.
So in fact there is nothing double.

Cheers Wolfgang

Ah, right...I completely forgot about using the L1 in mono...and I have in fact used it that way on a few individual tracks on rare occasion.

They all have different sounds and uses. The only plugin I DON'T use is the DeEsser. I use the Ren DeEsser exclusively. Otherwise, the compressors, eq's, etc are unique in their own right.

Great value.
