Default Can someone help me with this ilok crap?

Is there a certain process in which you're suppossed to install the ilok/factory bundle plug-ins? I have an mbox 2 with pt 7.3 and it was all installed fine. I installed my ilok, factory bundle plug-ins, and ilok client, and nothing works. It says all the stuff is installed but when i plug in the ilok it says my hardware wasn't installed correctly blah blah blah, and now pro tools wont even start, it says i need to reinstall it. I'd greatly appreciate any help, thanks.

Big clue right there.

Sounds like you completely screwed up your Pro Tools installation somehow (not quite sure how, the installation procedures for all of those are pretty straightforward).

So...
Uninstall everything and start from scratch.

Just uninstall Protools Reboot and reinstall Protools. You may need to set up a acount at iLOk.com and authorise your iLok first. try the unistall first.

Well first, obviously I do need to re-install pro tools. But the problem with registering/authorizing my ilok is that their website says the client needs to be installed in order to authorize it, and I cant even get to that point. I'm gonna see what I can do though. If anyone comes up with any ideas let me know.

As I mentioned in your other thread, you need to follow the iLok Quick start guide. It gives you specific instructions for how to get started using the ilok.

Try this:

(The iLok site is very slow today.)

The "Quick Start Guide" link is also available from the front page of www.ilok.com

Very clearly...
