Default midi sustain on newly recorded track is effecting all other previous midi tracks

I really hope/think this is an easy solution and appreciate your help.
New issue today.. all of a sudden now when I'm recording a midi track (say strings).. and I'm using sustain pedal.. it's apply sustain to ALL midi tracks I've previously recorded for the song. (ie.. piano / synths..) they all get sustained in the spots where I'm applying sustain on my new track.... I even check the sustain levels on each previous track and there is no actual sustain levels being applied.. yet you can audibly here all midi tracks having sustain on them in these spots.. is it an input setting? I'm using Xpand2, by the way for my midi instruments through an aux input plugin...as I have for years, not sure what is different today - thanks!

Default Re: midi sustain on newly recorded track is effecting all other previous midi tracks

No ideas why midi sustain from one track could be effecting other recorded midi tracks that don't have sustain?
