Default Xmon and new firmware causing other problems??

I have received a new Xmon with the updated software that fixes the headphone dim talkback debacle, but there seems to be a problem with the monitoring in the main monitors. Mono doesn't work! Since this is my FIFTH Xmon, I would hope that the fault was somewhere in the wiring of the studio. So off I went to open up that Dsub connectors that connect the inpust and outputs of the Xmon and checked that they were all correct. They were. I also checked the I/O setup in ProTools, Everything is hunky dory, L/R comes out on 1 and 5. In ProTools, if I pan a track to the left, it comes out the left. If I pan right, it comes out of the right speaker. BUT NOW, pan a signal hard to one side and hit the MONO button. On my Dcommand, the signal stays hard panned and gets dimmed a couple db. The left side seems to dim a bit more than the right and the left side makes a click which i presume is a relay. I don't remember any cllicking before.

Can anyone else confirm this problem I'm experiencing? I really hope it's me doing something wrong.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Mike

Thanks!

It's probably my fault somewhere. I will check again that everything is correct.

Just to further verify...I just double-checked our D-Command for the mono issue you described, but found no trouble with it.

I found my fault in the wiring. No problem with the X-mon. It is fixed now and everything works. Whew...

I appreciate the help. Thanks!
