Thanks for that. I figure it shouldn't be this hard, so I got a full refund. Shopping for an alternative. Many thanks for all the help

I highly recommend RME interfaces based on their quality, including just beautiful driver quality (including multi-client support in Windows that actually works) and fantastic customer support. But I would also look at UAD, Focusrite and Motu. I would avoid many other brands, including Presonus.
