OT: jv-1010
i owe a jv1010 and use a g4 with no serials.
the 1010 came with a software to interface but it hooks up serial to the hardware. has anyone used a usb to serial converter and are they reliable.... or is there someway to work around this? never hurts to ask thanks freakuincy

I have a Griffin G4Port Serial adapter. It requires that you uninstall your Modem and install the hardware. Once properly installed it functions invisibley. I have had great success with it. Midi is very tight now.

yikes!!
i will still need my modem on this machine. i guess that could be a last resort. i'm not so much trying to achieve midi as i am just wanting to use the serial cable to interface between the jv1010 and the sounddiver software that came with it. if i understand correctly? but thank you none the less grant
