Hardware compressor with Mbox2 Pro
If I want to use a Hardware compressor as an Insert in Pro tools, I need to connect it to Line L or R, and one of the Line outs on the mbox2pro, correct?

Re: Hardware compressor with Mbox2 Pro
You need to use ins and out that have the same number. So, for example, connect Mbox output #3 to your compressor input (assuming it is mono - use 3 and 4 for stereo) connect compressor output to Mbox input #3. Use balanced cables (they have two black rings around the connector). In the Pro Tools I/O setup you can setup and name this insert - then that name will appear in your plug-in menu.
In the plug-in menu, on the track where you want it inserted, scroll down to i/o and select your compressor either by name or by the input/output number you used. I think that should do it. Let me know if any of that doesn't make sense. Tom
