Re: MIDI and tempo maps
print the midi as audio, then align beats to the audio, then quantize the midi notes back to the new grid.

MIDI and tempo maps
Hi folks,
If I have a MIDI track with a ritard in it, is there a way for me to create a tempo map that mimics the ritard, without moving the MIDI notes around? In other words, I want to be able to use Identify Beat to say, "Bar 25 starts here", "Bar 26 starts here", etc. according to how the ritard slows down - but right now, after I do Identify Beat, the MIDI notes move around to conform to the "new" tempo. I want the MIDI notes to stay where they are. I guess another way of saying this is that I want the MIDI notes to lock to absolute time instead of bars and beats, so that I can change where the bars and beats are without the notes moving around. Is this possible? |
