Session playing back at double speed
Has anyone had this happen none of the other sessions i open on pro tools are doing this. Not cool at all.

How did you originally record the session/ Was it from an external device like a dat player, or the same method as your other sessions?

did you accidently record it at half speed? no other ideas unless the files somehow have a 22050 sample rate, even then i think you cant import those without converting to 44100.....

They were recorded thru my l2 into the spdif in on my digi 001 they monitored and played fine i opened the file 2 or 3 times to and now i took them into another file and they still play weiurd.

hmmm....not very clear. How many times did you play the tracks fine and when did you start hearing them 2ble speed? What happened between the last time they played fine and the first time they played 2ble speed? Is it 1 track or a whole multitrack session?

It is a stereo thing i was making a master for a freind of some stuff on a cassette. I dont think i changed much after thec sessioon.

First thing's first- check your playback sample rate and make sure it's the same as the sample rate you recorded with. If the change is a only couple steps, it's a sample rate thing, but if the change you're experiencing sounds like a chipmunk, then it really is double the speed.

i'v had stuff play back at half speed 2 or 3 times. but thats it. thought it was weird though.
