Default Upgrade from LE, no support plan

Hello,

We just upgraded an old LE mBox system to PT11, seems like a good idea and a limited time offer. We received the usual Avid ASC email messages good for 60 days but nothing regarding the 16 month support plan currently in effect. Any idea why and how to rectify? Part of my reason for doing this on the small system is to test the water before doing it on our large PT10 systems.

Sincerely,
Hugh

Hi Folks,

Unfortunately, I've had the same problem too! I purchased the LE to PT11 cross grade + standard support from the Avid store last night.

I've registered and installed my software, which is all working great, but I have no record of my support plan in 'My Account' page, and no means of accessing the support as far as I can tell. (I haven't received an ASC code at all).

Can anybody help?

Sean

I'm "in the same boat".
I upgraded from PT-Express, PT11 working well, but no standard support plan at MyAccount.

Hello SouthSide,

Thank you for sending the information, I haven't heard anything to rectify it. Have you? Obviously I'm a bit reticent about upgrading our other PT10 systems if the advertised support plan is not implemented.
Thanks,
Hugh

Did you upgrade an original MBox to PT11? Or was it an MBox 2/3?

Hey

I am waiting for clarification on this and will post back as soon as I have an answer that is understandable

Just so you know the support plan won't show in your ilok acvount, you will recieve a ASC and that will be valid for the time of the support plan you have. Thats the way I understood it. Have you got a ASC and if so, what does it say on it?
Best Regards
Christopher

Hello Christopher,
Yes I received an ASC but it specifically had the verbiage regarding "...valid for 60 days..." etc. Hence my disbelief in the process if I contact Avid at 61+ days.
Thanks for pursuing, I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Hugh

Yes I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I had both LE and Mpowered v7.X and when it was announced that support was being dropped for the Mbox 1 I went forward with upgrading my Mpowered license through v8/9/10/11. If they are allowing the $199 upgrade then I can keep my current v10/11 license on hand for something to fall back on to use should a future update go wonky.
