Default PT9 - 003 rack -ASIO DRIVER error with Cubase 4.5 - any solution?

I installed PT 9 on XP SP3 and it works great. however since I used/use Cubase 4.5 as well in the Studio I had trouble with the 003 rack asio driver. In Cubase when I play any recorded audio track it sound like a bit crusher - if I use VSTi's it sounds normal. I use the 003 as my main interface.
I had the same problem with the 8.0.4 update.

Going back to 8.0.3 solved the issue with the driver.

anyone else having this problem or a solution?

thanks
Kevin

PT 9 is not supported on XP, Windows 7 and Snow Leopard only.

Cheers,

PT 9 runs with XP SP3 on 2 computers without problems even if it is not officially supported - but my question was more regarding to the 003 rack driver.

The new asio driver that came with 8.0.4 and PT9 doesn't work correctly with Cubase 4.5 ... I was just searching for some help or experience from people with similar setup...

My point was that, although you may have it working, it may not work for everyone and that some or all functions may not work for some or all. The drivers being a case in point.

Cheers,
