upgrade or update?

Hi,
I need to by urgently pro tools 7, I purchased the 6.4 version in 2004 , i'm now in Uruguay, there is no sellers of pt here so I whant to do the whole thing in internet, I don't have ilok and hardly understand what it meens.
Can some body tell me what is the fastest procedure for this matter?
I don't have my 6.4 version on my computer because it's brand new and not compatible (osx , tiger), and I believe that the authorisation code will change(?)
Can somebody help?

I went on the digi web page and did the upgrade on there and they let you download the upgrade that second. Then you need to get a copy of OSX tiger which is going to run about 120 i think unless you are a student then it is 70. The Ilok is a form of verification that verifies that you have access to use the plug ins that you have on your computer. You can order one of these through digi also i think they give you like 10% off if you order PT7 at the same time as the iLok. I dont think you need an iLok for PT7, i might be wrong. Digi also gives you the authorization code when you order online. I hope this helps

The Pro Tools LE 7 Software Standard Upgrade is the only one available now on the DigiStore. This is a download only that includes the Pro Tools LE 7 installers for Mac OS X 10.4 or Windows XP, plus the authorization code. No iLok is required.

However, Uruguay is not one of the countries that the DigiStore is able to sell to currently:

The Pro Tools LE 7 Software Upgrade PLUS offer on the DigiStore ended on December 20, 2005, and is only available at Digidesign dealers after that date, and only if the dealer ordered stock of the Upgrade PLUS before the 20th for resale.

Ask them if they have it in stock and how quickly they can ship you a Pro Tools LE 7 Upgrade PLUS.

The Upgrade PLUS plug-ins do require an iLok USB key, and an iLok.com user account. If you do not own an iLok, and purchase the Upgrade PLUS, you can ask the dealer to include an iLok in their price quote.
