Default tempo maps

Searched for this and found a bunch of old posts, so thought I'd confirm that nothing has changed.

I'm mapping out the tempos, feel, and lengths for a bunch of long cues for a documentary. Just putting in drum sequences and basic piano and bass sketches. If I have my tempo changing throughout, any change made retroactively in one spot will throw all the following tempos, events, and MIDI notes out of their original sync.

So is there yet a way to LOCK the tempo map at any given point to avoid this?

Thanks!
