anyone Using Oceans way drums and Roland v drums?
I have roland td 20 and I got Oceans way drums a while back. It seems I can never get the hi hats to work correctly?!?!?! I have tried all kind of setting changes ,following the manul etc to no avail. I have contacted Oceans way and I get tips but still it just never seems to work so I am thinking about using real cymbals......If i use real cynbals do I need a condensor mic for each cymbal? I have been told yes and I have been told no........If anyone has any luck with the Oceans way and your cymbals and hi hat are working correctly can you tell me what setting you have them on thanks..

A pair of nice condensor mics would be more than adequate for micing cymbals.

I have great results with a Roland TD10 kit, playing SD2 but with real brass around the kit. I usually use 2 overhead LDC's and a SDC on the hat. Sometimes I add a SDC on the ride for more "ping".
