SRS Circle Surround

Does anyone know if this is compatible with PT8?
I've been using it for about 5 years and it's pretty good at what it does for me but I can no longer find info on the digi site about it's existence and the SRS Labs site is pretty vague as well.

Called them this morning and was told that it is.

If you intend to use it a a substitute for Dolby Surround tools, it will not work.
The LCRS decoder is broken in PT 7.4, and PT 8.

I've always just used it to create a PL2 compatible Lt/Rt from a 5.1 mix.

I haven't ried a PLII, just LTRT.

I'm working with SRS on getting it repaired.

Anyone with SRS, please call them, and push for a fix, we don't need an end of life on this plug.

Just got this email today:

Dear SRS Circle Surround® TDM Pro Reseller and User,
Since its introduction in 2005, SRS Circle Surround TDM Pro has empowered broadcasters and post-production facilities to deliver professional quality audio. We thank you for your support and your continued interest in our Circle Surround TDM Pro software over the years.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that SRS Labs has decided to exit the TDM Pro software business and we will no longer be supporting the product with upgrades or patches. Currently, SRS Circle Surround TDM Pro 2.1 software supports Pro Tools® 7.1 and 7.2 systems; however, with Pro Tools 8 now available, we will no longer be able to dedicate resources to update our product.
We will continue providing technical support for the SRS Circle Surround TDM Pro within the Pro Tools 7.2 and earlier environment for the next six months, until September 4, 2009.

I can't remember how much I paid for this one ($1200?) but it sucks.
I mean, isn't there some sort of implied compatibility expectation?
This is just one more in a list of plug-ins that I've paid for that have sold out or discontinued, leaving me out of cash and now having to buy a similar product
all over again. I understand that upgrading PT requires resources from the plug in companies to keep current but I think that should included in the price of the plug in. Charge upgrades I don't know....
