Hi all - I have a very strange thing happening with my NTFS formatted drives (both System and Audio). Basically I can't edit waveforms with the pencil tool because all files and folders are set to READ ONLY. No matter what I do to try to grant myself (User, Administrator, etc) permission to do this in the Security section, the whole setup just keeps reverting to READ ONLY!
Has anyone ever seen this before? I'd be glad for any assistance. Thanx Doogz |

i bet you moved that session from an optical disk (cd or DVD backup). go into the sessoins folder, then highlight all the files and folders, right click, go to properties, then uncheck the read only attribute on the bottom of the window.
this should fix things. Anytime you move a session, or copy a session via cd -r or dvd recordable drives, since the optical disks are write once, they change all of the file attributes to read only. Christian |
