Can't bounce to MP3 ?

Greetings -

Clueless newbie here... trying to bounce some simple tracks to MP3 returns an error which reads:

"The MP3 option cannot be enabled because: Module initialization failed for MP3.dll. The MP3 demo period may have expired."

um, ok, wth? I bought this software, demo should be N/A.

Running Windows 7 on a laptop, PT M-powered, version 8.0

any advice / tips appreciated, thnx!

ok... just found the other thread, wherein it is explained that one must PURCHASE the ability to bounce to MP3.

HOW FRIGGIN' LAME is that ??? Couldn't we have had this feature included, and bumped up the price point a bit?

I find this so annoying, I think I'll now search for a way around this... iTunes, or SoundForge...

Rather than being annoyed, why not just pay the $20.00 for the option?
You already said that you'd have gladly paid extra money if it was included in the software.

It still baffles me that anyone would see any need to bounce to mp3.
And that's rather the point of the option being an add on. Not many folks care about it. At all.
I mean, it takes maybe 15 seconds to convert a wav to an mp3?
There are many free converter apps out there. iTunes and Media Player both do it.
