I am new to Pro Tools LE and wanted to know if there is a way to slow down the tempo of a song if I import it from a CD?
Thanks |

I use Serato Pitch "n Time for this. This is an AudioSuite plugin. Serato allows you to type in the actual song key and the new key that you want, or you can select a certain amount of pitchshift. It also allows you to speed up or slow down audio without changing the pitch.

If you press Shift + Spacebar Pro Tools will play back at half speed. Probably not what you are looking for, but a fun effect nonetheless.
Perhaps a more useful feature is Pressing Shift + Comm. + Spacebar to record at half speed. -Brad |
