Assigning MIDI tracks/channels
Hiya,
I would like to know how would I go about changing or assigning MIDI channels? I've downloaded PTFree over the weekend and started recording (after encountering a few problems). When trying to record on another track, all the stuff that I've recorded on the first track plays back on channel one of my Alesis QS6.1. Then when I stop recording just to see/hear if it recorded both tracks onto the second track, it didn't, just the new stuff on the second track and it played just fine on channels one and two of what I've recorded. I know I can mute the previous recorded track but I want to hear it while recording the additional tracks. I know this is a simple solution, but right now, I just can't figure it out. My set-up: AMD Athlon 1.4 Ghz w/ 256 MB RAM, 40 G HD USB Midiman Midisport 2 X 2 Alesis QS 6.1 Also, when I imported a recorded MIDI drum track, it's not in sync or the timing is off (it's missing hits and stricks). PLEASE HEEELLLLPPPPP!!! Thanks. |
