Default funny 5.1.3 behaviour.

Hi Peeps.

I've been having a few bizzare errors within protools recently. We're using 5.1.3 on a 9600/350 with OS 9.0.4 and a d24 system with 3 dsp farms.

The errors have been mainly to do with buttons locking out on the mix window e.g. solo buttons. Trying to press the solo button flashes it but it wont latch. The audio isnt solo'd at all.

Another problem has been that none of the faders can be moved via the mouse, though they can still be edited via the automatic breakpoints in the edit window.

I've also had a problem after cancelling a bounce where ProTools believes all drives within the machine are full and wont allow a bounce to be performed.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Also make shure that your mouse button is working well. Try to drag icons in the finder... If you can't, then don't expect to drag faders.

Yes, sorry - ommitted the SCSI card.

Adaptect 2940UW

I've used norton on all the drives in the machine to no avail.

The mouse is most definitely working fine! I've done plenty of drag and dropping recently.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far anyway!

Cheers,
Iain
