Mac - Options for syncing / backing up pro-tools data
guys,
I'm looking at the most effective way to backup my pro-tools data disks. I've been looking at time machine and that seems to take current snapshots to roll back to, rather than a current working clone of the drives data. I'm aware of tools like rsync and the like, but I'm trying to look at the best way to setup a mac to either a.) sync the drives to the current state at regular intervals b.) (better choice) sync on request the pro-tools drive to the backup drive as the backup drive will not be plugged in / powered on all the time, which means auto jobs would fail sometimes. |

I like SuperDuper, which will do what you need and is relatively inexpensive. Assuming you're on a Mac, of course.
