Unless the 002 has the Black Lion mod, I would not feed such a "pedestrian" interface into a very high-end monitor controller Any system is only as good as the weakest link

“Pedestrian” bits? Are the ones not standing fully erect with finely coiffed serifs?

It is data, reclocked and jitter-reduced to the best of the receiving AES input’s ability, or as we engineers say, recovered. I don’t think you understand this data thing well. But if the money thrown at a solution is key to you, then by all means have at it.
