Default \"Save Session Copy In\" still misses files.

I made a new session using "Save Session Copy In" from an external drive to an internal drive. When I opened up the copied session on the internal drive it was missing 26 files. Did this twice, making sure that the "Copy Audio Files" box was selected. Now according to diginews you should be able to do the following:

Use "Save Session Copy In" from the File menu to automatically find all of the media files that are referenced within a session and to copy them to a separate location such as an external FireWire drive or a directory that can be burned to CD or DVD.

Additionally, "Save Session Copy In" can convert your session's sample rate and bit rate, and it can even make a Mac-only session PC-compatible. Since it only saves the referenced media files, it is a great archival tool because all the unreferenced takes will not be copied over.

I have done this before, in fact, I do it quite a bit for archival purposes. Why this is happening now is a mystery.

We are using PT 6.7r2 on a 2 gigHz G5. The internal audio drive is a 70 gig ATA drive and works just fine. The external drive is a LaCie 112 gig. When using "Save Session Copy In" I have selected "Copy Audio Files", "Don't Copy Fade Files" and "Save Plug in Settings"

I was able to accomplish my goal by opening up a new session on the internal drive and utilizing "Import Session Data" in copy mode to get the files accross.

But I need to know why this happening, is it pilot error or a glitch. Anyone elso experience this? Thanks!

Default Re: \"Save Session Copy In\" still misses files.

I have been told that an update, 6.7cs8 addresses this issue. We'll give it a try.
