Eucon S3, Dock and Avid Control dropping out

I recently purchased a Mac Mini M1 2020 as an interim computer (Waiting for the Max or Pro version) as my Trashcan's GPU's have died. Pro Tools seems to run OK on it but I'm getting constant drop outs on my S3, Dock and Avid Control app. EUCON doesn't seem to be very happy and I can't get to the bottom of it. I have tried different ethernet cables (I'm using a switch) and I've assigned static IP's for all 3. My computer only has 8GB of memory so I'm thinking it may be that (?).

A few times EUCON has displayed a 'Duplicate surface unit addresses detected' message which makes no sense as I don't have more than one S3 and I have assigned it's own IP address. I've tried switching off each surface but the problem persists.

Any ideas out there?

My guess would be conflicting IP addresses if you are using fixed IP addresses but have a router with DHCP server on the same network at the same time.
If that's the case switch the controllers to DHCP or make sure your fixed addresses are outside the range of what the DHCP server hands out.

If the above is not the case maybe post the IPs that you're using so it's easier to narrow down the issue?

I've narrowed it down to the S3. I switched it off and just used the Dock and Avid control and no drop outs. I unplugged my computer from the network and plugged the S3 directly into the computer and it dropped out within 30secs. For some reason my S3 just doesn't like this computer. It has run smoothly with my Trashcan for years. Could it be a Firmware glitch? Something to do with Apple siliconM1/Rosetta 2. Next step will be to test it on another computer I suppose.

Its not firmware as this hasn't changed in ages. It could be power supply related. Definitely try it on another system first. I presume its all uptodate on 21.10.1 ?

SOLVED: The problem was the layouts saved in my template (I think). They somehow got corrupted. I made a new template and imported all the tracks from my current project and the problem disappeared. I normally have 4 different layouts which get saved somewhere in the session data (Can you access these files?).
Could have been something else in the session as well. Thanks for the input.
