Default "Pro Tools Application has stopped working"

I have the M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface, and Pro 8 software M-Powered 8.0.3 educational.

I recently tried to use the Pro 8 on my laptop. As it was loading, it said, "setting up midi". This was taking an extra long time; then it said, "Pro Tools Application has stopped working". The program shuts down and I start all over again, but get the same result.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling all the software, but it is still doing the same thing.
