Default Connecting 003 with a DAW DEVICE

IS THERE ANY WAY TO CONVERT EITHER FIREWIRE, S/PDIF, OR OPTICAL TO DAW TO USE THE 003 OR SIMILAR WITH A SUMMING DEVICE?

ANY HELP WOULD BE AMAZING. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

You want to use your 003 with a mixer? Yes, you can do that.

no, there is a summing unit that accepts up to 32 tracks VIA DAW input. It takes those 32 and masters them through analogue pre-channels, then outputs it either analogue, or via DAW.

my issue, is that I want to buy the 003, but it doesn't have DAW output. So wondering if a adapter / convertor exists to take a Firewire, S/PDIF, Optical or Coaxel output and convert it to DAW.

With the 003 and the proper addons, you can have 18 outputs to sum with an analog summing unit(like the Dangerous Two Bus). The 003 has 8 analog outputs, 8 outputs available from a lightpipe connection and 2 outputs available from the SPDIF connection. You can likely accomplish what yopu want by doing stem mixes thru 16 outputs(i.e. stereo mix of background vocals, stereo mix of all keyboards, stereo drums-maybe with seperate kick and snare lines, etc). You will still get the same effect of analog summing.
