Default how can I \"speed up\" without pitch change?

I just recorded several different individual speakers and put them on a FLASH presentation. The client asked if I could increase the speed on a couple of the individuals just a bit without significantly increasing the pitch. I was wondering if, and how, that would be possible using my Mbox with PTLE.

Bubba,

Try a plug-in like Serato Pitch & Time (or equivalent). It sounds like this is what you're looking for.

Use the Time Compression Expansion audiosuite plugin that comes with PT (if you don't have a 3rd party plug-in like Serato Pitch & Time). It adjusts time with out effecting pitch. When used in moderation, it works pretty good. If you squeeze it too much you'll start to hear artifacts. If you hear artifacts, try sliding the sound/rythym slider closer to 'sound'.

Hope that helps.

If you hear artifacts, you can also try increasing the Crossfade from the default of 10 ms to 15 or 25 ms or more.

Cheers,

Use abbleton live if it cam bundled with your box. You can warp it and adjust the grain size. Use High quality Interpolation.

Digidesign pitch shift doesn't work very well

or the time compress & expansion cursor for PTLE 6.7 and later. For just a bit adjustments would be fine.
