Hi John

Apologies but your case is being handled by the web store - and I expect Ana's to respond shortly if she hasn't already.

Stand by and you can always email me directly too at [email protected] for help when concerned about a response or an issue.

Marianna -

I've just had my repeat subscription payment fail for the first time in years. I tried to pay manually and it also didn't work. I tried to add another card and that failed too.

I've spent an hour of Christmas Eve trying to sort the out - at no point in the process was I told that the reason for this failure is a policy change to move to credit card only payments - I only cottoned on this might be the case when I tried to add new card information and the card number said credit card - I googled and found this DUC thread.

I have to say this policy is ludicrous in 2024. I don't have a business credit card - my two business accounts only have debit cards. You don't support Apple Pay which would enable me to pay with either of those business accounts. I don't use Google Pay or Paypal. I want this payment to come out of one of my business accounts for tax and accounting purposes - I am VAT registered and will be claiming that back.

I can't think of any reason why Avid enact a user-hostile policy like this? You are choosing to make it harder for their long-term customers to pay large recurring subscription fees - which have gone up considerably this year.

It seems like a terrible way to do business.
